This is the name of the book written by Oliver Poole, Daily Telegraph reporter, after he was embedded with US Army since the war was officially declared until the fall of Saddam's regime.
Oliver kindly gave me this very interesting book to read when I have spare time.
In spite of being very busy working for the daily newspaper with Oliver and despite all the bad things which have been going on in Baghdad since the fall of the previous regime, I was very keen to read it, because I was very interested to know how US individuals military were thinking of this war and how they were totally convinced of the importance of this war.
"Do you believe of the reasons giving by US administration for this War"?
"Do you believe that your Army is liberator or invader"?
These were the two questions I wanted to ask the Americans. I believed it would be impossible to get the answer until I started going through the details and facts giving by the author of this amazing book.
I found 90 per cent of the Americans believed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and nuclear bomb. I also found that they all think that they were liberators not invaders and they had done great job.
They all believed that getting rid of Saddam's regime had made Iraq a non-terrorist country and safer to Iraqis. The terrible thing was they all were away from their homes and families thought they are helping Iraqis and free them by sacrifice their lives for my people's sake.
There were three reasons were given by the Bush Administration to invade Iraq:
1. To find and destroy Iraq weapons of mass destruction.
2. To make Iraq free democratic safe country by getting rid of the dictator.
3. To fight terrorism.
If we go through what have the Americans achieved we will find that they have done nothing but destroying a stable country and tear it's society to parts. No WMD were found in Iraq. Officially the US administration declared that more than 2,650 US Soldiers got killed.
More than 250,000 innocent Iraqis were killed since the war was declared. Sixty to seventy Iraqi civilians get killed every day in Baghdad only. Iraq is full of Militias and criminal Gangs and no Iraqi could criticizes them because he would be killed if did that. This War had turned Iraq into a terrorist country. Nowadays no one can wear shorts. Woman are not allowed to drive cars and no wedding party is allowed like those Iraqis used to have in the innocent time before, under the dictatorship. Iraq is full of Terrorists and extremists who actually run the country. Iraq's infrastructure is ground zero.
What have the Us administration achieved in Iraq? Nothing. No democracy, no security and no clear future for Iraqis.
Now my question is who won this war?
Neither the Americans nor Iraqis have won this war.
I think who won the war was the person who was trying very hard to illustrates facts and report the truth, who was putting his life in danger to grasp the missed truth.
The winner is the person who spend long time being embedded with the Military living their shit life to tell the world about what was going on there.
The winner is the person who asked himself a question after the war was over "Has this country got any safer"?
I think the winner was the two correspondents who they got killed and Oliver Poole who was very lucky to survive to tell people how the black knights soldiers were thinking and behaving during the war.
